I reached out to our twitter followers for questions and curiosities about the Cheerleaders. On Twitter, Ann Proud asked, “How many personal appearances do the Cheerleaders make, and how are they chosen?”
On average, the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders make about 400 non-football appearances throughout the year, signing autographs and taking pictures with fans. These events range from grand openings and corporate conventions to races and rodeos! Appearances are assigned based on seniority and diversity. We always send a minimum of two Cheerleaders, of which one must be a veteran.
Our Show Group performs at least three times per month for gatherings like corporate conventions and galas or international ambassador tours. The Show Group is a select group of 12 Cheerleaders who are chosen based on their exceptional talent, technique and showmanship. The DCC Show is a one-hour variety performance called “America and Her Music” featuring 16 elaborately costumed and choreographed routines designed to ignite, excite and dazzle a crowd.
