Audrea Cowan:
Kelli and Judy and the DCC staff,
Thank you for an amazing weekend of laughs, chills, and friendships made and remembered. I just had a blast and could not be more grateful that the event was planned. This weekend really made me once again realize how privileged I am to be a part of an alumni of the greatest organization on the planet. All of the DCC staff did a remarkable job of envisioning the production and putting it all together. Thank you for the chance to all perform together one last time on that field.
What a sisterhood of excellence, I am so honored to be an alumni and a part of something so great. Thank you again for the weekend and all of the incredible work that went into making it all happen.
Shannon Landers:
Hello Kelli & Judy,
Thank you so very much for putting your time and effort into the Alumni Halftime this weekend. I cannot tell you how much fun it was for me! It was so good seeing everyone, and reconnecting with friends (especially rookie buddies)! I will miss Texas Stadium tremendously, and will never forget all the time spent there (including this weekend). There are so many great memories. I will also be proud to tell my future daughter that she danced with me on my last performance there. Thanks again for everything!
And...the current DCC are fabulous! I was so impressed!!!
Love,
Shannon Landers

THANK YOU !! THANK YOU !! for all of your help with our DCC Alumni Weekend. You were amazing!!!
Thank you for our stadium tickets and our seating arrangements. You made it possible for all of us to sit with our friends and family, and the seats you provided us with were the most incredible seats, what a view of the field !!! WOW!!! We were toasting you with our bottles of water !! ;-) "GO RACHEL!" We know a huge amount of your efforts went into making this happen.

Cara Byrum:
Thank you, Rachel. And thank you again for inviting us back. You ladies are awesome! I had heard that you are going to send us an email so that we might order the black t-shirt "Texas Stadium Ladies". Is that right? I would really like to order one. Again, thank you for all that you and your staff do for the Alumni!

Debbie Causey:
Good morning to all!
What an amazing weekend!!!! First, I want to thank Rachel, Meagan, Meredith, Judy, Kelly, and the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders! You all worked so hard to make this happened, and it truly was an incredible experience for all the Alumni!!! It was wonderful to see so many faces I have not seen in years and catch up on everything going on their lives. It was also an incredible experience for my 2 girls, Heather-17 and Hannah-11. I have never seen them so proud to watch their mom out there on the field, they said mom, I can't believe you can move that way, if they only could see me try to get out of bed the past couple of mornings, it was not a pretty sight. Also to Kelly and Judy, I was so amazed at the talent and beauty of the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders this year!!! What a dedicated, hardworking, gifted group of girls you have, and also I noticed the bond they had and their willingness to help so many of us during the Alumni weekend. They were truly an incredible group of young ladies, and I was so impressed and proud of the entire organization this weekend!!
Thank you again for this incredible experience, and go Cowboys!
Sincerely,
Debbie Causey
Dawn Broadus Smith:
I don't even know where to start to say Thank You to all of you who made this past weekend possible for all of us. I never expected to be so moved and emotional this time. I've done other reunions before and didn't cry but this one was so special.
I wanted to take a minute to say Thank You to you and Kelli and Judy and all the others who worked to make this happen.
Texas Stadium will always hold a special place in my heart and I didn't even realize how special it was to me until I realized at the Saturday practice that I was about to take my last dance steps on that beautiful green field for the last time. As we got out of the car and walked down the DCC tunnel on Saturday morning, it all started to hit me. This will be the last time we have the privilege to walk these steps. These are steps that so many DCC have walked over the years. The place is old and worn out and definitely needs a rest but I savored every minute of this weekend in that stinky place!
I am so glad that we were invited to participate in the Cowboys entrance and the National Anthem. It was great to stand at field level and remember how exciting it is to be standing there when the players come in! The three current DCC sounded amazing and I forgot to complement Kelli on what a great performance that was. How did you find three great singers on the same squad? Amazing!
Please tell Kelli "Thanks" for reading her sweet letter to us and circling up for the Lord's Prayer together. I have to admit I couldn't talk out loud during the entire prayer because I had tears pouring down my face. I was overcome with emotion over what a special privilege being a DCC is to me personally. There I was standing next to the girls I cheered with who are still to this day my very best friends. I was also overwhelmed at the thought of saying goodbye to our beloved Texas Stadium. I will never forget the day I auditioned in 1986 up in the Stadium Club. I was a young and naive girl from Mississippi who kept driving here for each step of the process wondering, "Can I really make it?" The day my name was called and I became an official DCC rookie candidate, I stood at those big windows and looked out over the field in awe. My dreams came true and it was one of my greatest accomplishments and memories.
I want to compliment Kelli and all of you on the selection of this year's squad. They are beautiful, talented and most of all quality ladies. I have never seen a squad take such an interest in the alumni. They took the time to talk to us and get to know us and I was just thoroughly impressed with them. They are not only polished and sharp on the field and flawlessly beautiful on the outside, but they are also great girls with great hearts on the inside. I have to give a special mention of Brooke Sorenson, my newly adopted DCC. What an amazing example of beauty and grace she is. Her talent at dancing is obvious but she is just one of the most quality young ladies I have met in a long time.
Lastly I want to share what happened as Julee (Graham Cheever) and I left the stadium. Julee and I met while we were DCCs and she is my very best friend in the world. She traveled her with her family from Nevada to do the reunion. We had such fun riding to and from the stadium together... just like we used to do in the old days. So, after the game we were walking to our car together, worn out, just like the old days. We ran into many fans who told us how much they enjoyed our performance. However, there were two separate fans that we talked to who really touched our hearts. These were two different encounters but their stories were the similar. This was the first time they had ever been to a Cowboy game. Both were lifelong fans and had saved for years to fly here to see a game. They knew they had to do it this year or they would never have gotten to see Texas Stadium. These guys were SO excited to be here; seeing usseeing the current DCC and seeing their favorite team, the Dallas Cowboys! I was brought to tears after talking to them and realizing how important a day this was for those guys. It was HUGE to me that they would work and save and work and save and that just having a 5 minute conversation and a picture with them meant the world to them. I think that's a good reminder for all of us to step away from ourselves for a minute and realize that a word or a smile of a wave can make someone's day even when we are exhausted. I will never forget those guys... one who had traveled from California and one from
Well, I've poured my heart out. I just wanted you to know that ya'll have made a difference in my life by allowing us the privilege to come back and see all our old friends. To be able to unhinge the hips and sling the hair one more time in Texas Stadium is a memory I'll never forget.
Thanks for all of your hard work and for treating us like we are still important to the organization.
Much love and cheers,
Dawn Broadus Smith
Cyndi Love Ippolito:
I had a blast last weekend seeing all my old friends and making some new ones and it was really bittersweet dancing in Texas Stadium knowing that it would be the last time. I cried more than once... I plan to give Kelli and Judy a call to thank them for putting together such a special weekend. I'm so very proud to have been (and still be) a part of such a stellar organization!

Sharedale Skeins:
I had a blast this past weekend, with heartwarming memories, and tears. Little did I know that in 1971 ...being the 1st squad to go into TX Stadium as a DCC with the Dallas Cowboys our squad was opening a door for history to be made. We open and closed TX Stadium... I thank God for making me a part of history with DCC.
God bless you and all your endeavors,
Sharedale Skeins
Charyl Russell Malanaphy:
Thank you SO much for this opportunity! It was FANTASTIC! Even though I could not perform on Sunday due to medical reasons, I had a great time on Saturday with old friends, old routines, new aches and pains, and of course, Texas Stadium. And I am slowly recuperating!
Thanks again!

Suzette Freeman:

Pam Seal:
Wow Rachel,
Awesome! Not only for the tan package but everthing was just Awesome this past weekend and I want to thank- you for all that you did personally to pull it off.
We had a blast and now that I lost 5 pounds from all the dancing this past weekend I was just thinking today how I wanted to go and tan. I love the towels you provided for us at the lunch and I am very excited to get another one.
I need to order the DVD of the halftime. Once we get the DVD the 70;s girls are going to have a wrap party at Kitty's dance studio so we can have time to share our pictures, stories, and catch up on each others lives.
Have a super day and see ya at Planet Tan!

Vicki Foster:
Hi DCC,
Thanks you for organizing such a memorable and fantastic experience for our big alumni weekend!!!! I did not expect for the emotional wave to be quite so impacting.
Where do I mail my check for the DVD and to the attention of whom? Of course I have made it out to DCC.
Now... must go home and soak my still aching muscles...
Regards,
Vicki Foster 1984 1987
Meredith (Beck) Burg:

Pam Seal:
Dear Kelli and DCC staff,
I wanted to Thank-you all for such a Great, an Incredible, an Awesome time at Texas Stadium Saturday and Sunday. All the girls loved every moment.
It is hard to believe that forTexas Stadium it will be all over soon...because there are so many history making moments there...however we do need a new Stadium and we will have even bigger and better history making moments in our DC and DCC future in the new Stadium.
I also want to thank-you Kelli for sending us a copy of the speech you made to all of the DCC Alumni. As the saying goes... there was not a dry eye in the house. Your words touched each and every one of us. I am so thankful that we were allowed to be a part of the Farewell to Texas Stadium halftime and that we are the only Professional cheerleading squad that I know of that has an Alumni thanks to the vision of you, Jerry Jones and Charlotte Jones Anderson. We asked Tex Schram and Clint Murchinson many times for a DCC Alumni and they just did not have the vision for it...so to you and the Jones Family... A GREAT BIG THANK-YOU.
I am so glad you made contact with Paul Renick for the upcoming drumline show. He wrote so much of the music for the Broadway show Blast and he will be awesome to head it all up. Chelsey had her private lessons from him last year and his wife is this incredible drill team/flag performer. She may have even been in Blast.
You may want to ask him about his wife as the flag routines are very impressive in the Blast DVD. I think Judy will like what she sees and may like to use some of it. Paul teaches at TCU and UNT.... So you have two of the best college drumlines in the nation through Paul Renick.
Please consider allowing the DCC Alumni to be a part of the 2009 Stadium opener. It doesn't have to be anything hard-perhaps just the opening ceremony with the National Anthem like we did at Sunday's game and then line up behind the DCC for the Dallas Cowboys run through line. We can wear the same thing we did last Sunday and use the same pom pons. It might be nice to have as many of the Dallas Cowboys Alumni players on the field as well. If so when the Dallas Cowboys Alumni players are intoduced they can run through our DCC Alumni line on one end of the field and the current players at the other end. Just a thought.
All of the 70's girls are going to have a wrap party at Kitty's dance studio as soon as the DVD is available. We are going to watch the DVD, share photos, memories, etc. Again thank-you for all the time and effort it took to leave us with such great memories this past weekend.
If there is a final Texas Stadium wrap party let us know and we will be there with bells on. Be sure and keep the DCC door and the Star in the middle of the Stadium for the Museum. Perhaps the stars on the stadium walls could be wall decorations in the new museum as well.
Cheers and many thanks again to you and the DCC staff,
Sincerely,
Pam Seal
