Why did you decide to audition for the DCC?: The desire had been in my heart for some time but I really decided to tryout after cheering at AT&T Stadium for a Baylor football game. We were given a tour of the DCC locker room and after getting the opportunity to cheer in the stadium, I knew from then on out that was where I wanted to be again someday, but cheering for the Cowboys!

What are some of your DCC highlights?: Realizing I made the team when all my teammates ran to me with hugging arms; Putting on the uniform and performing as a team for the first time, I’ll never forget the energy I felt on that stage at that moment, and meeting the little fans wanting our autographs; Being in my first fashion show; seeing our cameos above our own lockers at our first game; and my group winning the Hog Hunt medals at our annual campout!

Advice for someone who dreams of becoming a DCC: No one will ever love your dream the way you do because a dream only lives in one heart. “ Each heart knows its own bitterness, and no one else can share its joy.” Proverbs 14:10. If being a DCC is your dream then go out there and don’t give up because if you believe in yourself you can do anything you set your mind to.
