Why did you decide to audition for the DCC?: I have wanted to audition for DCC since I was in high school. From the moment I first saw them perform, I was enthralled by their power, elegance, beauty, and ability to entertain. My mom said I had to obtain a college degree before I could try out. After watching videos and researching information for four years, my senior year of college finally arrived. I checked the DCC website on a daily basis waiting for the 2012 audition date to be posted.
What are some of your DCC highlights?: My favorite part about being a DCC is having the opportunity to be affiliated with an organization that is so special and so much bigger than myself. How did I get so lucky to be a part of a group of talented women who share the same passion as me, to have the honor to wear that legendary DCC uniform, and to share my love of dance with Cowboys fans? I am reminded every day how incredibly blessed I am to be making a dream come true.
Advice for someone who dreams of becoming a DCC: The best advice I can give someone who dreams of becoming a DCC is that it’s never too early to start preparing and most importantly to believe in yourself! It’s easy to get to try outs and start second guessing yourself; however, you have to stay true to yourself allowing your talent and hard work to shine.
